RBU LDK Dampers

  • Type: air throttle dampers – extremely robust and maintenance-free
  • Maximum pressure: approx. 200 mbar
  • Use: control and regulating dampers for ventilation equipment
  • Operating temperature: up to 300°C (high temperature designs up to 900°C available)
  • Size: DN80 to DN2000, overall length according to factory standard or customer specifications. Special sizes by request
  • Designs: round and angular, with 1 or more wings
  • Sealing: soft-sealing, metallic, impacting or penetrating
  • Actuation: hand lever, electric or pneumatic (flange in accordance with DIN EN ISO 5211)

RBU HGK Dampers

RBU HGK Dampers

  • Type: extremely robust hot gas dampers with generous safety reserves considering optimal flow conditions
  • Maximum pressure: approx. 200 mbar
  • Use: incineration plants and furnaces
  • Operating temperature: 1100°C (for top temperatures)
  • Size: DN500 to DN3000
  • Design: round and angular, with 1 or 2 wings
  • Sealing: metallic, impacting or penetrating
  • Actuation: electric or pneumatic
  • Installation: flange in accordance with DIN 24154 or customer specifications
  • Construction types : hot gas damper with cast blades, stainless steel, ceramics, fire-resistant concrete for use at high temperatures and with abrasive powders. External and special design features for tension-free acceptance of thermal expansion. Designed from heat resistant stainless steel adjusted to suit the intended purpose.

RBU SIK Dampers

RBU SIK Dampers

  • Type: robust safety dampers as quick-closing dampers with drop weight (ATEX optional)
  • Maximum pressure: 500mbar
  • Use: safety damper – closing time < 1 sec. (safety position in OPEN or CLOSED)
  • Operating temperature: up to a maximum of approx. 800°C
  • Size: DN100 - DN5000
  • Design: round and angular, with 1 or more wings
  • Sealing: soft-sealing, metallic, impacting or penetrating
  • Actuation: The valve is connected to the actuator via two levers using a magnetic clamp. To release the valve from the actuator in the event of a malfunction, the magnetic clamp is switched off and the valve goes through the counterweight into the open or closed position. To re-establish the connection, the valve actuator is moved.

RBU TDK Dampers

  • Type: double dampers and double multi-leaf dampers are used as a gas-tight barrier for the exhaust gas channels. (With a gas-tight air purge system)
  • Maximum pressure: approx. 200 mbar
  • Use: gas-tight barrier for the exhaust gas channels
  • Operating temperature: max. 500°C
  • Size: DN100 to DN5000
  • Design: round and angular, with 1 or more wings
  • Sealing: special metallic segments for optimal sealing. Air purge stations for total sealing with integrated heating coil to counter condensation in the air purge system
  • Actuation: pneumatic or electric
  • Installation: flange in accordance with DIN 24154 or customer specifications

RBU RSK Dampers

  • Type: extremely robust and universally applicable shut-off dampers and control dampers with external bearings on both sides. Ideal for use at higher temperatures or with large volumes of dust
  • Maximum pressure: 500 mbar
  • Use: shut-off and control valves
  • Operating temperature: up to 600°C (external, dirt-resistant bearings on both sides – adjustable gland nuts)
  • Size: DN600 to DN6000
  • Design: welded structure, round and angular, with 1 or more wings, inverse or parallel closing
  • Sealing: soft-sealing, metallic, impacting or penetrating
  • Actuation: lever, electric or hydraulic

RBU BSK Dampers

  • Type: for maximising the free cross-sectional area and minimising the pressure loss, optimised wing design with special shaft feed-through. External roller bearings on both sides. Ideal for use with high volumes of dust and minimum permissible pressure loss
  • Maximum pressure: 100 mbar Use: shut-off and control valves
  • Operating temperature: up to 500°C (external, dirt-resistant bearings on both sides – adjustable gland nuts)
  • Size: DN600 to DN6000
  • Design: welded structure, inverse or parallel closing, 2 or more wings. Wing design adapted to the channel cross section. Shaft seals outside of the damper insulation.
  • Sealing: soft-sealing, metallic sealing blade, metallic, impacting or penetrating
  • Actuation: lever, electric or hydraulic

RBU STS Shut-off valves

  • Type: Shut-off valves are designed for round or angular piping with cross sections of up to approx. 15 m² and, depending on the specifications, an operating temperature of up to 900°C (tertiary air valve).

  • Size:DN100 to DN7000, round or angular

RBU RSS Shut-off valves

  • Type: shut-off valve for installation in vertical pipes for shutting off pourable solids, e.g. underneath a silo. Depending on the specifications, including feed hopper made from wear-resistant material.

  • Operating temperature: up to 300°C
  • Size: DN100 to DN2000, round or angular
  • Designs: lantern wheel, spindle or pneumatic cylinder

RBU UMK exhaust gas diverters

  • Type: three-path diverter for diverting media flows (gas or pourable solids), with a feed hopper and swing wings made from wear-resistant material, depending on the specifications
  • Maximum pressure: 100 mbar
  • Use:diverting media flows
  • Operating temperature: up to 500°C (external, dirt-resistant bearings on both sides – adjustable gland nuts)
  • Size: DN500 to DN2000, round or angular
  • Design: swing wing
  • Sealing: metallic or penetrating

Goggle valves

Goggle valves enable 100% closure of gas piping in accordance with the safety regulations of the accident-prevention regulation. The gas-tight barrier even remains in place in the event of power loss and is equivalent to a blind flanged end. Depending on the customer’s requirements, these goggle valves can be supplied as an open or closed design. These goggle valves are primarily used in smelting works, in furnace gas and converter gas piping and anywhere where gas piping may need to be quickly and safely shut off and made gas-tight.

Lever-operated dampers

- Lever-operated dampers are used to shut off gas pipes and to make them gas-tight. In a technical sense, they are considered to be tight-fitting (DIN 3220). The high level of impermeability is achieved through a soft seal, which is pressed on the damper disc by the main lever. When opening, the damper disc initially lifts in an axial direction from the sealing strip and is then pivoted by the steering lever until it is parallel to the pipe axle. No wear and tear can form on the seal as a result. Lever-operated dampers are usually operated hydraulically.

Corner valves

  • Type: Shut-off and control valves as poppet valves for gas cleaning in the iron and steel industries.
  • Maximum pressure: 200 mbar
  • Operating temperature up to 200°C
  • Size: DN600 to DN3000
  • Function: shut-off / control, including fail-safe open and fail-safe close functions
  • Sealing: soft-sealing, including pressing damper discs
  • Actuation: hydraulic

Special Applications

  • RBU control dampers: one or two wings, swing-through depending on the requirements, for continuous control or with sealing strips for a tight seal when closed
  • RBU safety dampers: With a self-releasing counterweight in the event of a malfunction – the damper will open/close safely in all conditions
  • RBU double shut-off dampers with sealing air station: : gap warm air application for excess pressure – guarantees that no exhaust gas is leaking. Optionally available with inert air
